When I gave birth to my first child, lifestyle design became very important to me. I know I don't want to work hours with my kids, but I have to feed them at the same time. I'm sure my kids won't be spending countless hours in daycare, so I negotiated with the boss to design my way of working so I can still spend quality time with my baby. Although I had no formal terminology at the time, I never based my decision on making money alone. Work must be flexible enough to give me the lifestyle I want.
Fifteen years later, I treat my company with the same mentality. I'm not afraid to cancel all traditional start-ups and set standards that can give me a lifestyle that I enjoy. I have always felt very happy in the process.
Lifestyle business plans
First specific and measurable goals
If you pay a penny it will fall: the
fact that we cannot escape is that we are likely to move forward. Unless we
pursue goals, we will not be able to achieve the goals we set for ourselves.
Therefore, if you want to design a company that suits your desired lifestyle,
you have to get very specific. In other words, you need specific and measurable
goals.
For example, instead of saying
"I want to lose weight," say "I want to lose 10 pounds in 3
months." Having specific and measurable goals can be transformed into any
area of life. If your lifestyle goal is to spend the winter in a warm place,
then you should incorporate this preference into your business. You should
consider a method to organize your business in the following areas:
Your company has enough
mobility/flexibility to maintain your permanent residence throughout the
quarter without interrupting the cash flow.
If you don't consider your
preferences, eventually you will develop a company that hates you and gets
stuck in a hamster. Planning lifestyle matters is not as complicated as people
think.
If you lose 10 pounds in 3 months,
you need to know how to lose 10 pounds in 3 months. If you have clear specific
goals, it becomes very easy to know what you need to know.
Once you know what you need to know, you need to write some viable steps to gather the required information. You can easily lose 10 pounds in just 3 months, you can do the following:
Go to the gym
You don't need to know how to get to the endpoint, but each action should lead you to the next action and eventually take you to the endpoint. For example, if you don't know anything, you can hire a personal trainer to guide you through the process. When you hire an expert, you get the benefit of reaching the end faster than others.
We often have a psychological
impression of what we are going to achieve. But unless we write down goals and
create a system to measure our progress, we should not take action.
Finally, ask yourself, "Am I
willing to pay the price?
This is a difficult question to answer: I heard men talk about building a close-knit family, but they were reluctant to introduce the family to their careers or hobbies. Some people say they want career development, but they are not willing to receive the necessary training. Success in everything requires some sacrifice. Some people may want to reach this level, but they don't want to invest in what it takes to reach this level. At some point, you will have to determine if you are ready to make the sacrifices you need.
After figuring out your
requirements, ask yourself if you're willing to pay the price. Don't start
unless you answer this question honestly. Do not answer this question too
quickly, but spend some time to solve it and be honest. If you decide to pay
the price, share your goals with someone who can hold you accountable.
