Call on all tea fans!
Whether you enjoy a cold beer on a hot summer day or a hot tea on a cold winter
night, tea is good for your health. This hot drink is filled with antioxidants
that protect human cells from damage. Drinking tea can add water, strengthen
the immune system, prevent bone loss, and help prevent heart disease and
stroke.
Do you know you can make
tea? I am here to tell you, not only possible but also delicious! This can be a
great addition to creative mains, desserts, and seasonings. The easiest way to
cook with tea is to add it to freshly marinated marinade and spices for meat,
fish, or poultry.
Useful Tips and Ideas
When Making Tea:
- Add some brewed black tea to
spice up the gravy, soup, and stew. Add a tablespoon to the gravy and pour
half of it into a pot of stew or chili. The recommended tea is a strong
tea, such as Keemun, Assam, or Yunnan.
- When cooking chicken or shrimp,
use brewed green tea or oolong tea instead of water.
- Use dry tea leaves as a salad
dressing to add flavor and crunch, or try brewing green tea in your
favorite salad dressing.
- Mix dried tea leaves with herbs
and spices and grind them into powder to create a delicious scrub for
meat, poultry, and fish, for a delicious taste! Use hearty black teas,
such as Ceylon Kandy, Xiaobai Shouxin, or Assam, which are great for
rubbing.
- Use tea to add flavor to the
rice. Use boiled tea instead of boiled rice. You can also crush the bulk
tea and mix it with the cooked rice. The tea recommended for rice is
Genmaicha, Sencha, or Jasmine.
- When boiling eggs, soak the
boiling water and tea on the boiled eggs to marbled the surface of the
eggs. At the end of cooking, the tea will penetrate the small cracks in
the bowl, resulting in a marbled appearance. Green tea or black tea works
well.
- Brewed tea can be used as a
seasoning for stews or marinades. As a base of the sauce, the juice can be
added with tea to enhance the flavor.
- There are several tea brewing
techniques to make sure the tea is not too bitter.
- Pour pure spring water on the
leaves and let it steep at room temperature for 20 to 30 minutes.
- Use 1 teaspoon of tea for every
8 ounces of water and soak in boiling (180-185 °) water for 3-5 minutes.
- Cold brewing is another
preparation method. Use 2 teaspoons of tea for every 8 ounces of cold
water. Soak for 2 hours.
